Location Information
¶ Ty Beleug, in St. Colomban Village, is 1.2 miles (2km) from the city of Carnac, about 300 miles (500km) southwest of Paris on Brittany's south coast. ¶ The nearest train station is in the city of Auray, 12 miles (20km) away, about a 25 minute drive. ¶ St. Colomban Village is a hamlet of about 30 houses. There is parking in the square by the chapel, and Ty Beleug is right next to the chapel, on the Chemin du Gourec. ¶ Do not confuse the city of Carnac (Carnac Ville) with the beach called Carnac (Carnac Plage). ¶ To find Ty Beleug from Carnac Ville, from the center of Carnac where there is the tourist information building and St. Cornely church, turn in front of the church to go down the hill. This is D119, Ave. de la Poste. At the Post Office, turn right onto Ave. de St. Colomban. At the small traffic circle, continue straight across. After about 1/3 mile, you'll see the Cross of the Emigres on the left, but keep going straight to take the next right toward the Village. Continue a few hundred yards to the chapel square. Ty Beleug is just to the right of the chapel as you face it from the parking area. |
